How We Determine & Rank Item Condition

In order to assist you, the buyer, in making an educated decision about the products we sell we have come up with this scale to rank an items condition. This is mostly important with used items.

This applies to items that are brand new, in their original packaging, and never opened.

This applies to items that had been purchased or acquired but never been used. The item had probably been opened one or several times, but only for visual inspection not use. The outer package may show signs of wear due to storage and handling, but the actual product is in perfect brand-new condition. It is also possible, though rare, that the original packaging may be missing and the item has been reboxed.

This applies to items that have been used, but are in near-perfect condition. They show absolutely no physical signs of use. When applied to electronics this rank indicates that the time spent in use was very minimal, in the range of one to three months. The original outer packaging may or may not be present, and if not, the item has been reboxed.

This applies to products that have been refurbished. They may have been previously broken and repaired, or simply been restored back to a like-new state. If we know the history of the item, before having been refurbished, we will specify that information. The original packaging may or may not be present, and if not, the item has been reboxed.

This applies to products that have been actively used but show only minimal signs of use. For example a book in this category would be one that is in good condition but shows wear around the corners. It's essentially in great condition, but does show some sign as having been previously owned. When applied to electronics, this rank does not necessarily indicate there are physical signs of use, but could also indicate that the time in use was in the range of three months to a year.

This applies to items that had been well used and show moderate signs of use. Again, using the book analogy, this rank would indicate that the book has tears or creases in the cover or pages. It is still usable, but definitely shows signs as having been previously owned. When applied to electronics this rank indicates that the item has been in use anyway from one to three years.

This applies to items where the signs of use are very apparent. The item may be partially broken but is still functional, such as a book with it's cover ripped off. The book is still usable, but is in poor condition. If an electronic item is listed in this category, it may also indicate that the time in use is very long, exceeding three years.

This applies to items that either do not work, or we could not make work. We will make every attempt to describe what the problem(s) is with the item, if known. Items receiving this rank are sold as-is. We recommend purchasing these items for parts, or if you have the necessary expertise, repair.
